I think they should retreat when threatened.
They still retreat, but no longer retreat to the designated Safe Place setup by the scenario designer. Some of the Safe Places are setup FAR away from where the battle takes place, and the arty would retreat clear across the map. Now they only retreat a few hundred yards.

Downloaded and installed...now, is there some simple way to determine if I did it correctly...as in TC2M "CMP" on the screen?

I installed beta 3 and got CTD in sandbox kansas scenario. Is there any game log to access to ferret out this problem? I am new so if this is common knowledge I appologize.

Were there any changes to the files available in the SDK? If so, does the SDK download have the new files in it?

Yes. No and I guess it will not be the case until the final SDK version is available.

I'd guess a couple weeks or so. Still lots to be done with the SDK manual.

Norb/Team,
New patch installed. Have had 2 consecutive crashes during Sandbox games. One each with modded and stock OOBs. Roughly 5-7 minutes into each game. also, Garnier's textured maps are overridden by the original stock maps. Not a big deal there, just info. Will look at modded OOBs to see if I missed something.

Norb/Team,
Think I figured what the problem was. Reset most recent modded OOB back to where it used to work. Ran fine for 30 minutes. Realized I may have hit some key by accident. Played with keys on keyboard for a bit. Hit the "Teelday" key. Thats the upper left one just under the Esc key. Crashed game. Somehow thats been activated. Will try this again in a minute and advise.
