Just use the Irfan viewer, it's free! Use the link I posted for it.

Sorry, I choose not to open a program that I would have to become a member of, hate getting spam. Anyhow Thanks for the reply.

I've had Irfan for almost 5 years now and don't remember ever getting any spam from them.

So far I've seen very few posts addressing any map issues. I see this as a big compliment to the NSD team members who worked on the maps. As the old saying goes, "Do something right and no one remembers, do something wrong and no one forgets". Sometimes I'm so busy admiring the scenery and comparing it in my mind to the real battlefield I forget to "take care of my boys" who are trying to win a battle. Often I'll just let them on their own and go sightseeing (with a resulting defeat, of course). Taking into account the necessary restrictions of scale, detail, and manpower, I think the map makers deserve a bit round of applause.
now AJ, you know as well as i do who's partially responsible for not only assuring the maps looked accurate, but also who would have been the first one to point out inaccuracies...
you just happened to do your homework beforehand. Not to mention doing it blind, sometimes going on just a screenshot or a YouTube frame... but you made sure it was all in there. I sometimes cursed seeing your inquiries, but you made the maps that much better. you get the applause as much as anyone does.

Thanks for the credit, but I just made a few suggestions resulting from casual observations based on spending a lot of time on the field over the years and having an interest in the period photos of the battlefield.

that's exactly what was missing from the team when the maps were developed... thanks again for stepping up and providing your input!

You sound like a person who is reasonable and knows what he is doing. I don't doubt what you say about Irfan, because you back it up. Prior to your post I had my doubts. I'm reluctant to open programs for which I know little about, or would seldom use. Going blindly into numerous programs is asking for trouble IMO. I Thank you for your observation.
