Amish John, i really like these 'Lamar Pen'.
But i read that the 'Old Fonts designs' are copyrighted?!

Improving the font rendering of the game engine was on the patch list well before the game was released. It just fell into the 'nice to have' rather than 'need to have' category.

Because a font such as Lamar Pen, which is a true type font, is much closer to the typical handwriting style of the Civil War period, I'm hoping a future patch will give the ability to change the style of the message fonts. Even though it may be a bit harder to read it will add to the immersion.

I was playing with the SDK a little tonight trying to see if I could get the game to recognize a ttf. Made a mod where I added a ttf to the fonts directory and in the gamefonts file I replaced the Msgfont VinerHand32.pft with the ttf in the Font string column, but no luck. The in-game messages still showed up as VinerHand32. Does the game just recognize pft fonts?
