Yet another Cavalry question

Post by Gfran64 »

Hey Guys,

I have a question about the use of cavalry as it pertains to heavy woods/rocks or generally disagreeable terrain for horses. I have noticed that in the old game when moving cavalry through dense woods that it was not uncommon for them to stumble upon an infantry unit and automatically charge because of the distance of the newly discovered enemy. I can't really see how a mounted cavalry charge against formed up infantry in dense woods would be all that easy to pull off. Now I could be totally off base with that thought so if I am please correct me. I think that cavalry in skirmish formation in dense woods also charges formed up infantry once they get close enough. That seems even less plausible. So my question is, how is that situation going to be handled in the new game?

Thanks,

Greg B)

It is handled very similar to TC2M, but the cavalry have a little different attributes that have changed the way that they handle for Gettysburg. They are good changes, but you bring up some very good points. Good stuff for us to discuss.

This was a good point and the team agrees and more importantly it isn't hard to impliment. Thanks!
