After a long break I have recently returned to TC2M.I still remain very impressed by the game and the real involvement and excitement it still engenders.
I was however reminded of one of the very few aspects which has really always bugged me. I am referring to the really common tendency in Openplay for the AI if on defense and spotting the attacker from distance,to rush at full tilt (with all units including artillery) out and away from its defensive position and to try and mount an attack on the advancing force. It thereby almosy always surrenders its positional advantages and makes it all too easy for the attacker to also mount a subsidiary attack with a hidden flanking unit directly on a now undefended target.
If this issue has already received comprehensive treatment I apologise --but I would just like to suggest that, that in my humble opinion this is 1 aspect of the AI which really needs a re- programming to provide a convincing defensive performance for the AI and a real challenge for the attacker.
I am really looking forward to War3DII:Gettysburg and would like to wish you all the very best in this project
Cheers
