AI doesn't move

Hi All

Me again hoping you can suggest or explain away my problem.

So i have just gotten into playing Waterloo. i have owned the game on steam for a number of years but due to the limited maps on the base game etc i have always stuck to Gettysburg ( Which i play relentlessly)

Now ive gotten into Waterloo and i am enjoying the Campaign however most of the battles are the line of sight ones ( like 80/20) over the hunt them down battles which are so so much better. to make this even worse when i have a line of sight battle the enemy makes absolutely no attempt at moving. all i have to do is move all artillery pieces a couple of hundred of yards away and go make a drink. only to come back and find that im about 4000 casualties up and the enemy just sits their and takes it in column. unless i get aggressive

is their a way to stop this happening and if not to only allow hunt them down battles?

also is their a way to preempt hunt them down battles over Line of sight?

Also Also is their away to have 2 corps on the field without any commanding generals being Napoleon, blucher or wellington
