As fighting was taking place at Okonoko on the afternoon of Day 5 of the campaign, an action was simultaneously taking place at Romney. The skirmish is not over, but the two sides have Engaged at Romney (Part I)

Federals reached the edge of town during the Action at Romney Day 5 - Part II, but the losses were too heavy and both sides disengaged, but remain on the field. Fighting will likely resume on Day 6.

What's in a logo? The logo for THE WINTER WAR command simulation focuses on a wartime photo of Romney. The section of Romney captured in the photograph corresponds to where part of Taliaferro's Brigade defended the town from Colonel Nathan Kimball's 1st Brigade in Day 5 of the simulation.
