PATCH QUESTION

Post by Chichetr »

Hey guys,

I have a question regarding the new patch. I have the steam version of the game and recently tried to download the new patch that game out for the game in June. When I try to download the patch it says "Scourge of war waterloo not installed".

Is there something unique that I need to do to install the new patch on Steam? I can't find an update button in steam anywhere. Do I need to copy/paste the update file in my steam folder somewhere?

Help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

start up the game and click on multiplayer. If the version number in the top left of the display is showing 1.01 then the game is up to date. Steam normally will automatically patch the game for you.

cheers

This helped a lot, thanks Voltigeur!

So, I DO have the latest version of the patch. Why the hell then are the mods that I downloaded not working? I downloaded the latest gore mode/grog tool bar and it's not working no matter what I do.

Gah, my computer illiteracy knows no bounds I suppose.

The attachment 20160803065319_1.jpg is no longer available
Make sure your mod has a tick in the check box.

They appear in the mods tab, I tick them, there is an hour glass that pops up when the mods get applied. Everything is there but it still won't work.

Maybe the mods won't work because of steam? Anyone else with the steam version able to use mods?

Steam version works fine with mods.

Can you take a screenshot of your Windows Explorer screen showing the mod folders fully opened up? I suspect you have got a second redundant level of folders in there, its a very common fault. If you d/l a mod do not use Winzip/Winrar to "extract to" but open the archive then go to the mods folder of SoWWL in Windows Explorer and simply DRAG the main mod folder from the archive window to the mods folder.
HITS & Couriers - a different and realistic way to play SoW MP.

I have the steam version & have had no problems with any of the mods. The only thing I can suggest is to check you have put your mods into the correct folder.

My mods folders path is:
E:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Scourge of War Waterloo\Mods

E:\Steam\SteamApps\common\Scourge of War Waterloo\Mods\Expanded Toolbar V - Grog
E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Scourge of War Waterloo\Mods\Custom-Sandbox
E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Scourge of War Waterloo\Mods\Ch a Ch Garde and Pr Landwehr Cav
E:\Steam\steamapps\common\Scourge of War Waterloo\Mods\BloodBath Waterloo
