Do you play as French or allies?

For me playing the French seems natural. The defeated. I like to approach the Battle differently to see what the outcome would have been if Napoleon had given different Orders. I have found that attacking Papelotte first, securing Wellington's Left Wing and swinging the whole French Army Left to face 9 Oclock always finishes with a good result for the French. I only harrass Hougomont with 1 Brigade and hold the remainder in Reserve. Worth Trying.

That used to be my go-to strategy in WNLB. I'll have to try it in SoWW. The problem is when the Prussians show up on your flank, you are fighting on either side and between a rock and a hard place.
