Grop: thanks for this mod.
Saddletank: Do you mod the ai too so that it uses column by division as defaault movement and not line. And can it be modded so that the units can shoot in this formation rather than transforming into line.
I second that proposal!

Marching through GeorgiA:
can you upload a beta version of the formation and AI mods you're working on?
I would like to test it ;-) if you like.

We're currently play-testing several times a week so the mod will no doubt go through many iterations before we are happy. Our previous Nap mod for Gettysburg reached ver 1.718 after starting at about 0.900 IIRC. That development process was over about 18 months to 2 years.

If people would like to join us for play-tests (we use couriers and HITS BTW) check out the "impromptu games" thread on the Kriegspiel forum. We generally meet about 20:00 BST, 21:00 CET and 15:00 EST. We have our own TS server kindly funded by one of our group.

grog: I didn't see english units using other formation than line in the approach..
I put the mod in the first row and clicked it on.
I tried french corps waterloo scenario. Can you check if you have columns in the british formations.
Hello oho

I remember you from the early days of Les Grognards :)

Whether the units use columns or lines in the approach (fighting formation) will depend on whether the Formations Mod is above or below RebBulger's Toolbar expanded-Grog mod.

Below will give the player and the Ai brigades the column advance. A major drawback here, though, is that brigades deployed in double line on the defensive will also have their battalions in column formation. I had overlooked this

This mod was put together to throw up some ideas and there may be one or two more tweaks to do but I would expect the KS Mod to be the mod to use. Some great stuff in there already.

Thanks for the answers. I put it on top so that was the fault.
Do the formation change also for the enemy AI, that is important for me as I can't play MP normally.

Yes,Ai will use more columns.
Once in musket range they will change into line.
Aggressive attacks will still use brigade in columns.
