Why are some of the Union forces that were involved in the Brandy Station campaign not available in the game?
These are listed as "hidden" in some scenarios, whatever that means.
Why? Is it a matter of play balance?
I can understand if some units can't be used to keep certain engagements historical, but shouldn't we be able to control them to explore the "what ifs", for example, if Duffie had showed up?
Thanks.

Re: Brandy Station questions
They are available in some variants in the last two 'FULL BATTLE' scenarios. Also, they are available in Sandbox play.

Thanks Reb.
Didn't think to check the sandbox version.
I'll check the full battle scenario as well.
Really like how the terrain looks in this release.

Re: Brandy Station questions
Since this thread is about questions about Brandy Station I'll ask this here --
What books/resources were used to develop the scenarios? Looked in the updated manual but there weren't any listed for Brandy Station. Stopped by the battlefield a couple years ago and have a book about it but was curious as to what the devs used.

Re: Brandy Station questions
For the scenarios and research on the battle we used the official records of the civil war, "The Battle of Brandy Station" by Eric Wittenberg, and the Osprey campaign book on the battle. There were also various online resources used (too many to list them all) but the books and OR were our primary sources.
Re: Brandy Station questions
I notice that the features of Brandy Station include improved horse graphics. My question is will those improved graphics apply to other scenarios e.g. those in Gettysburg if I purchase and install the add on?
