Units large black blocks

Yeah that doesn't work. Maybe it's something related to Win 8.1 then.
MacDonald: did you get yours to work as it should or is it still spam clicking that rules supreme?

Even running Win 7 compatibility mode as administrator?

Correct.
I've tried both Win 7 and Win XP SP3 compatibility mode, no dice.
It did fix the "black blocks" problem though

So just to go over this one more time:

1. You start a campaign
2. Left click on your general
3. Right click on the town name hovering over the town
4. Unpause

No route icons appear, no units move. Can you Speed time up? Can you detach units?

Wow, nevermind
I've been clicking on the town itself, not the town Name
I just tried it out and it works perfectly :whistle:
Thanks a lot for the help, now I'm gonna put on my "im-so-ashamed-of-myself-hat" and play some Waterloo :)

No worries - I should have made it clearer in my earlier post. The manual should have it covered though.
