I tried using the Mexican Army in a Kansas setting. My machine is an HP Vista 32 bit converted to Windows 8. The first thing I noticed was that the map I consulted was oversize. It really wasn't a problem save that I couldn't see the entire map, and I quickly learned that the escape button would quit the map in order to continue the game. Toward the end of the scenario, I was ahead very handily, so I accelerated the game. Again, no problems. However, when I switched from "me" to the chain of command screen, the game stopped. For what good it might do, I enclose a copy of the log:

Don...thanks for the feedback.

Can you deactivate the RTW csv mod you have installed. Also, check to see whether you renamed the logistics folder in the Kriegspiel mod as suggested in the readme above. Basically all the csv you need are incl with the Mexico mod.

Let's see whether you get a repeat of that error.

Crikey_ I have deactivated the CRV. I have changed the logistics folders in both Road... & KS, using "1Logistics" to rename them. used the same OOB & the same battlefield, Kansas, to minimize variables.
Everything went fine until somewhere in the last minute, when the game abruptly crashed. I wasn't doing anything special, simply waiting for the time to run off. I was using normal, not accelerated, time. The log reads as follows:

Crikey, great work on the mod, I have played 2 good battles against the ai with it. I like the oobs, I really like the Kriegspiel and TCM2 sprites you've utilized so far, though in the Bexar oob i didnt seem to see any changes to the Texian infantry, who looked just like the vanilla confederate infantry sprites (which aren't necessarily all that innacurate :P ). Your probably aware of this, i realize you are still early in development; I mention it only because the Texian infantry in the San Jacinto oob seemed to have had some changes made to them. The Mexican Army looks good so far. (except the union cavalry in the Bexar oob , im sure they are placeholders)(but actually i have to admit i don't know very much about the mexican uniforms of the time :laugh: )

Also I did experience the same map issue as Don, I believe i installed everything correctly, and in the proper order. I renamed the logistics folder of the KS mod, and I wasn't using any other mods (except "GCM_sounds" during the second test only). I played on one of Garnier's random maps, and the Kansas map aswell, and when I would open up the map, the "actual map" only fills an upper corner of the "map screen" the rest of which is filled by blank white space. This seems to be the same Issue that the kriegspiel mod solves by having 2 different versions (a small/large map version): http://www.norbsoftdev.net/forum/napole ... n-mod-1650 ; something to do with monitor size/ resolution. I had the exact same problem with the "large map version" of that mod, and it was fixed by downloading the "small map version".

I experienced no other problems with your mod, I was able to open the OOB/ chain of command screen without any problems and I didn't have any crashes, Thanks for the good work Crikey. :)

Crikey: I successfully completed a scenario just now. I made no changes of any kind. The next time I play I will vary the OOB. :) :) :)

Helpful feedback. I will look at the map screen issue but as you say seems an easy fix. Glad you are getting some good gameplay.
