Cannot get Antietam to run

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

Cannot get Antietam to run

Post by OldnSlow »

Can anyone assist? I have a new PC and am trying to install Gettysburg, Pipe Creek, Antietam and Chancellorsville. I purchased CV and installed with no trouble, then realised that Gettysburg was not installed on my new PC. I uninstalled CV then installed Gettysburg, followed by Pipe Creek, Antietam and Chancellorsville with activation codes. The Antietam scenarios do not appear in Additional Battles in fact Antietam does not appear anywhere at all.
When I install GB v1.4 I cannot activate it as I am told that it is already activated but I then install v1.5rev and GB runs ok. Installation of Antietam seems to occur but no scenarios appear anywhere although I have the Antietam.sow folder in the GB main folder.
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing a couple of times to no avail.
After uninstallation I delete MatrixGames and NorbSoftDev entries from the registry.
Nothing seems to work.
Does anyone have a foolproof walkthrough of how I can fix this?
Any assistance gratefully received.

EDIT: I am re-downloading all files from Matrix Games and will try again.

O,

Delete the Registry keys

Download the Matrix versions of the game from here: http://www.matrixgames.com/members/ You will have to register and will need your codes but there is no charge.

Install GB and then install the map packs

Let us know if you still have problems.
