If 1.5 has put you in demo mode
Re: If 1.5 has put you in demo mode
I REALLY appreciate the help. The 1.5 GB maps run perfectly.
It looks like the the map files are there, but the game can't find them. I have been installing all game files with the default path. This path is copied from the PCL installer: C:\NorbSoftDev\Scourge of War - Gettysburg
Here is a snip of my game directory to the maps folder:

In your main Scourge Of War game directory, do you have a Pipe Creek.sow file?
Re: If 1.5 has put you in demo mode
Yes, I do, as well as the uninstal Pipe Creek exe. The Pipe Creek storyline pdf is in the Docs folder.

Then you have all of the required files to run the pack. Very bizarre, it should work.Yes, I do, as well as the uninstal Pipe Creek exe. The Pipe Creek storyline pdf is in the Docs folder.
Now that I think about it, I did run into this issue when we were doing early testing on 1.5. I believe it occurred after I uninstalled the full game, then re-installed without re-installing the map packs. It left the map pack files behind, but the maps still wouldn't load... But that still wouldn't be your issue because you said you have re-installed the map pack.
I'll keep thinking about what could be the issue, but right now I'm pretty stumped..
Re: If 1.5 has put you in demo mode
I verified that I did delete the old game folder because I haven't emptied my trash since then and then NorbSoftDev folder is there.
born2see (from yesterday): yes, both registry entries (Matrix and Norb) listed the same serial number.
Oh Good Lord, could I be so dense?: Both Matrix Games and Norbsoftdev folders are still in the wow6432node section in the registry. Should I have deleted the Matrix Games entry? Should I delete it after the 1.5 patch and before the PCL install? With the main game running well, I am leery of changing anything.
Thanks again you guys.

Re: If 1.5 has put you in demo mode
Long shot. Open your regedit program and do a Find for Pipe Creek. You should find the two intended entries in wow6432. If you find any other norbsoft entries in other locations, please delete them.

Re: If 1.5 has put you in demo mode
Jim,
I did as you suggested and did not find ANY entries for Pipe Creek anywhere. This must not be good?
Again, in the wow6432node, I have both a Matrix Games folder and a NorbSoftDev folder for the SOWGB, should I delete the Matrix Games folder before re-installing PCL?
Thank you for your help,
Tacloban

T,
That's correct. You should have Registry entries for both.
In going through this thread I wanted to make sure you deleted both the Matrix and NSD Registry entries then installed GB, patched it, and then installed the map packs.

B,
I sure did. I followed your instructions closely. On the other hand, the next thing to try would be to do it all again.
I miss the Pipe Creek Maps. Funny that the rest of the game works fine.

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Having said that, as an IT guy I do it all the time.
So start from scratch. Clean install, no mods, etc., etc. While I'm thinking about it where did you download Pipe Creek from?
