Here;s what I would do:

Delete the game folder

Delete the Registry entries for Matrix and NorbSoftDev

Install the latest game version from here: http://www.scourgeofwar.com/index.shtml

Patch it from here: http://www.matrixgames.com/products/441 ... Gettysburg

That should work.

Well Tac, since there's no follow up reply, it's assumed you're OK now. Still, I'm curious about the PLC snafu, that was indeed an oddity we need to add to our glitch intel.

Thanks for checking in RebBugler, but no love in Joyville.

I followed B's instructions fastidiously, which got me back into the full game, but my PCL battlefields still don't show up after what appeared to be a smooth installation of the expansion. Again, I can see the 3 new maps in the Base/Maps folder sitting there...laughing at me.

After deleting these before the un/re-install, I see that I have again both the Matrix Games folder and the Norbsoftdev folder in my HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE registry. Do I have it correctly that I should delete the Matrix Games folder from my registry (I don't have any other Matrix installations)?

Forgive me for restating what might be obvious but when you go into Additional Battles you don't see Pipe Creek or its scenarios?

Grateful to have the input. Nothing was in my Additional Battles menus (I didn't even look there in 1.4; I play sandbox almost exclusively). I found the PCL scenarios in the "User Scenarios" men, selected the first one "Gathering Storm" and got a freeze and CTD. My log:

Your loading the SR10 Pipe Creek mod, not the Map Pack.

It looks like the game is installed in the C:\NORBSOFTDEV\SCOURGE OF WAR - GETTYSBURG\ folder.


Is this your existing install? I see mods are installed so I'm assuming it's an existing one.

Yeah "level not found" usually means the scenario can't find the map. And since you don't have the scenarios in Additional Battles, sounds like the map pack isn't getting installed correctly. Are you positive that you are choosing your correct game directory when installing the map pack?

I agree with LP. PC isn't being installed in the right directory for whatever reason.
