Your certainly correct. It is not a "fix" , but it does make SP playable. Since they added the second OOB ( where the artillery is grouped with the infantry ) the artillery doesn't take the lead. It deploys better and goes into action.
The other OOB (where the guns are grouped together) the artillery is in constant motion and rarely deploys and fires a shot.
At least it is playable with the second OOB.

Thank you gentlemen, I will look for the proper OOB until the next patch.

Re: Artillery Not Deploying
I still see this as a nusiance....Even protected, but probably still in LOS, the artillery will move about a 1/2" of map scale and then stops. Then I repeat the process....Any advice?
Love the game....

Re: Artillery Not Deploying
The reason they do this is because when your batteries start seeing targets in their LOS, they want to unlimber and fire. The only sure way to keep them moving is to TC the battery commanders. RebBugler also has a new command on his toolbar to address this. If you use his toolbar, see the latest Bugles and Flags 10 thread.

Reb,
As stated elsewhere by me (and others), ALWAYS TC your Battery Commanders. LP is right - as soon as they see something, they want to blast it right away...then wander off...(gotta be a 7-11 around here somewhere...need a slurpee and a bag o' porkrinds).
