JC:
Do you have the entire 'Gettysburg' script? Is it on the web somewhere?

Just about every line in that movie is a great one.
Like the dialog when Longstreet orders Hood to take the round top
or
when Longsteet tries to convince Lee against the ill fated assault on the Union line.
or
the Confederate general's campfire BS'n session

Just too many great dialogs in that movie to list here.

Yeah thanks JC for the link!;)
Longstreet orders Hood to take 'that' hill:

Hood:
Look here,
the ground is strewn with boulders
The soldiers up there are entrenched all over the ground.

And there are guns in the rocks.
Every move I make is observed.

If I attack as ordered, I lose half my division.

And they'll be looking down our throats at us from that hill right there.

We must move around to the right, sir.
And take them from the rear.

Longstreeet:
The commanding general will not allow a flanking movement around those hills.
I argued it yesterday.
I argued it all morning.
I've been arguing against any attack at all.
I can't call this one off. You know it.

Hood:
Let me move up the big round hill to the south.
Nobody is on that.
If I could get a battery up there...

Longstreet:
There ain't enough time.
You'd have to cut down trees to place your artillery.
It would be dark before you were in action.

One the other hand,
if they get batteries up there...
we'll need buckets to catch the lead.
You've got to take that hill.

Hood:
They don't even need guns to defend that.
All they need to do
is roll rocks down on you.

Longstreet:
Just take it.

Hood:
General.I do this under protest.

Longstreet:
Sam, you are the best I got.

Now, sir, if you are ready,
why don't you take that hill?

Nice job! I want to compliment you on the amount of thought and effort it must of took to write that article. I'm just another knock around guy, but I can appreciate when somebody uses their noodle for the common good.;)

At least he knows you only have a "noodle" up there JC!!!   :P :P
Professor, you must of missed to whom I directed credit to. Dale did a nice peace(sp) of work in his commentary and I would compliment anybody who steps up and presents their view in a public forum-- good, bad or indifferent, nobody is perfect. Keep up with the good work that someday we will all share together.

Thanks, Hoistingman4
