If 1.5 has put you in demo mode
If 1.5 has put you in demo mode
The reason for this would be that the game can't find your keys which the installer puts in the registry. So please do a search in your registry to see if they are there. We had one instance where there were extra registry entries that were not supposed to be there and for some reason the game was reading those rather than the ones it was supposed to. I have no idea why, we use windows api to read the registry and who knows what they do behind the scenes.
It's in
local machine
software
(then wow6432 thing if you're on windows 7)
norbsoftdev
sowgb
Your key should be there, but if you do a search on the entire registry and find norbsoftdev somewhere other than the above, please let us know and post the location here. Be careful to never post your registration codes. This is exactly what happened on Jim's machine and once we deleted the extra key, it worked. Why it read that key (it wasn't in the right location) is beyond my knowledge of the windows black box.
Thanks,
Norb
everyone required at Slitherine and NorbSoftDev and Matrix is working hard to figure this out. We apologize that it happened and promise it will all be worked out. Everyone that paid for the game will be able to play 1.5

It's a program called regedit.exe. In Windows 7, it's in c:\windows\

Click WINDOWS "Start" (Bottom Left Hand Corner)
Click 'run' (third from bottom)
Type in regedit
Hit OK
This should then display the WINDOWS registry and allow it to be amended.

Thanks G. That's a better explanation than mine. It's 5:30 AM where I am and my brain's not functioning very well at the moment.

Okay, I have found it, and it has the serial number for the game there but not for Antietam (I haven't installed pipe creek yet again)
There are three lines
Default -value not set
Install dir: C:\NorbSoftDev\Scourge of War Gettysburg
Serial: **********

Worked for me. My codes also ended up in the Matrix Games section of my Registry Editor, as well as the NorbSoftDev section. I deleted the ones that got stuck in Matrix, reinstalled the 1.5001 patch, and then added the addons on top of them. Worked like a charm. Thanks.

Statboy, where exactly did you find the extras ?

Re: If 1.5 has put you in demo mode
I found them in a Matrix entry, when they should be in the NorbSoft entry. Do a search on Matrix in your Registry Editor, and see if anything shows up. If you see instances of SOW in there, then delete them.Statboy, where exactly did you find the extras ?
