1.5 issues so far

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

I agree, but I always like to post a work around. It's probably something to post on their site, as they wrote the installer.

So multiple people are having problems with the game thinking it's in demo mode after installing 1.5.

In demo mode their "Modifications" menu is gone from the main menu. And in the multiplayer lobby rooms they create say *DEMO*.

Some people got it to work by deactivating the game before installing the patch. Another person reinstalled the game fresh and then installed the patch on that and it worked, but this did not work for a third person.

I am wondering if someone could export the registry entries and substitute the install path with ./

Then all they have to do is import the registry entry, then try installing the patch.

Hmmm, I am going to look into that as a quick fix. Who knows.

UPDATE: I was just looking at the registry, and I can see that this can be done. The only thing I have to make sure of is that I take out the Serial code so mine does not get installed by mistake.
Example...

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NorbSoftDev]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NorbSoftDev\SowGB]
"RegCode"="Serial Key"
"InstallDir"="e:\\NorbSoftDev\\Scourge of War - Gettysburg"
Edited Version ...
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NorbSoftDev]

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NorbSoftDev\SowGB]

"InstallDir"=""
Then import the registry entry, and try installing the patch again.

After the 1.5 install, I can't access the MP lobby anymore.
Is the lobby down?

I just entered, no problem. Several others are in there.
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.

Guys, I am in the lobby, and do this to install the new patch...

DEACTIVATE the game first, then install the patch. That is what I did, and I had no problems installing the patch.

If this is the fix, thank the guys in the lobby!

NSD: For certain mods the endscreen does not seem to work. Perhaps a problem with the newly released Cav Battle Map...

I wish I would have known that first.
Any suggestions on what to do now?
