1.5 issues so far
1.5 issues so far
The 1.5 installer doesn't appear to allow you to choose the install directory. I let it install to where it wanted, then copied the files into my actual game directory and that seems to have worked.
1.5 Installer also doesn't let you click the back button after choosing where to install start menu shortcuts.
Also you can click to Save Battle during a replay and the game crashes. (minor bug, not really a problem)

Odd that you were not able too.
I was able to choose the install directory I had the game installed too. I have the game installed on Drive E:. The default install is for C:\NorbSoftDev\Scourge of War - Gettysburg, and I was able to change it.The 1.5 installer doesn't appear to allow you to choose the install directory. I can confirm what Garnier has said about the installation. It does not allow the player the choice of where to install the game. An update to the installer would be a good idea. Having to copy all those files over is not a good solution.
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.

If you are using Windows 7, best run the installer with Admin rights. But with that said, I didn't have any problems installing this patch. So odd you guys are having this problem.I can confirm what Garnier has said about the installation. It does not allow the player the choice of where to install the game. I think it looks into the registry for a path we put in there in one of our installers. If it finds the path, it will use it. If it doesn't find the path, then it allows you to choose the folder.

I can confirm that the correct path is in the registry. Did you setup the installer to look in the correct place for WinXP? It is different than Win7.

Re: 1.5 issues so far (nothing terrible)
Everyone I've talked to so far has been unable to change the install directory if they use one other than the default. This isn't a problem for me but some people aren't tech-savvy enough for copying files into the right place manually. Hopefully there will be a solution.
Re: 1.5 issues so far (nothing terrible)
If you remove the directory entry in the registry, it should then prompt you for where to install.

That's a dangerous solution for those that are not computer savvy. It would be better if someone wrote a small console program to automatically remove the registry entries. If you remove the directory entry in the registry, it should then prompt you for where to install.
