Good day all,
Bought the game a couple of years ago I haven't played it for a while now, i have the urge to play SOW again.
In the meantime i bought a new PC two months ago so reinstalled SOW on it and then tried to play SOW but my code wouldn't be accepted then i remembered that you have to deactivate the code on old hard drive (totally forgot)then reactivate when onto new hard drive so i followed the instructions of copy and paste my code into a e-mail to support and mention i needed to deactive/activate for the reasons above which i did thursday evening then got a automated reply that my request will be answered within 48hr working days.
My questions are firstly have i done the correct procedure to get me activated again? and with it being 48hrs for my request to be answered will it be around monday/tuesday for me to be sorted?
While i wait i have being playing the demo tutorials and trying to find good mods (any recommendations) to install when i get my full game back.
Thanks Synner

S,
If I know those good people doing the activation, you should be back up and running today. And yes, you did everything correctly.

Re: Rectivating my game
Hi Synner,
The mods are plentiful with more forthcoming :cheer:
Hard to tell what you might like out of the bunch, but you might just try a few runs with the stock set up and then adjust what your eye tells you might look better/suits your eye or your preferred gameplay style.
For my part i find the stock trees a little bright and sparkly on the eye so i use Jolly's terrain art whenever patches allow. That's a very nice mod and worth a look for sure.
I also like the Bugles and Flags mod by RebBugler.Again this mod is worth a look even if you don't intend to use it all the time. The flags make a real impact in the immersion if that's what your looking for also.
Then there is the multiplayer mods, they appeal to me so i use those as well.
Garnier has the GCM and its mods and also MTG(Marching thru Georgia) has the Hits and Couriers mod.
Both of these are excellent and offer plenty of options for Multiplayer and also some for Singleplayer.
Like i started out saying tho, there are alot of them to filter through so its worth just checking them out when you get the time and you'll find whats useful to you and whats not.
Great that you have time to pick the software back up.Good for you sir.

Re: Rectivating my game
Thank you General C i will try your suggestions and yes i do agree certain mods for certain tastes do apply.
Well i did get a reply from support but it states the code i gave is invalid which could be true as i have a book of usernames, passwords etc.. and inbetween my SOW details and another games details there is a code which i took for granted was the SOW code but its looking like the other games code and i didn't write down the SOW code.
So sent another e-mail explaining the above and asking how do i resolve my mess up.
Heh i just seem to make things more complicated for myself in general as usual.

I got a quick reply from support (thanks Dave), i got lucky he was able to sort out my code problem and i now have my full game back.
As others have stated you sorted out my problem quick with no fuss which is appreciated, now i'm gonna play me a few scenarios and look into some mods.
Oh i only just found out there is a new expansion (Antietam) so gonna get me that soon
