If you are playing within a team, make sure your team mates guard your body from scavengers (other players).
Okay sometimes you will have no choice but to respawn (for whatever reason), before you do respawn, get to a location that your are familiar with, then respawn (create a new character). Make your way to your dead body, and take what you need.
