Well spotted H.

I shopped it out. It was the one glaring thing I didn't like, because it was so obviously floating over the generals head with no-one holding it up. Other than that, apart from the crop to remove the GUI stuff, no other editing.

I also think it makes the officer and his aide look somehow much cooler without the flag.

The double tree up in the far left told me off. I assume you used the clone tool based on that.

No, that's too far left. It was between the two officers and slightly closer to the officer in the white gauntlets. You can possibly see two small areas of a bushy pale tree that are quite similar, and yes, clone tool. My favourite and most used tool.

If you hit the 'U' key a couple of times, all the GUI stuff goes away, leaving just the battlefield view.

True, but most of my best screenies have been total luck, taken on the fly without much thought and afterwards they happened to turn out almost perfect. When I try and plan them, something goes wrong (like one of my regiments elsewhere routs, or my screen is suddenly filled by a huge flag as some unit marches by).

f4 and they automatically get saved in the work/screenshots folder.

press the 'u' key a couple of time first to get rid of the user interface etc and increase screen real estate
