Just had an idea.
The story says the 11th PA was at Antietam. I'm not sure where in the OOB but I will search.
Any dog lover might do a bull-terrier sprite mod and add it to the 11th PA muster ? I can't think of a better tribute.

Rickett's Division (2nd)
Hartsuff's Brigade (3rd)
