MP Courier Crashing

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

We have received the logs of this, most from Martin, and will be addressing it. I'm not sure what we changed that could have caused this to happen again, but we did do some courier enhancements in the latest patch.

Within the limits of what we were doing and how we were doing it, the system worked as it's supposed to ... as far as I could tell.

Agreed. ASJ and I had a really fun trouble-free trans-Atlantic game, apart from our corps commander and the d*mn Yankees of course........

The past two games we have not crashed, because we have not used couriers. Just now, we have finished a 240 minute game (we hit the time limit, but were nearly done. I'm not quite sure why there is such an arbitrary limit).

It is nice to see the full potential of this game. 21000 men (6 players) vs 26000 battle (AI) in a glorious slaughter spanning many, many miles.

Now we just need them with couriers! :silly:

In our steam group, we have had several games now without using couriers in-game. As mentioned by Gobbler, the CTD-rate was intolerable. The battles were up to seven players, up to 240 minutes.
The good news is, we have had no crash since, these games were rock stable! After a decreasing interest in SOW MP games, this led to new enthusiasm :cheer:
The bad news is, we can't use in-game couriers anymore until a new patch will be made. This is sad, couriers are an important feature for our gameplay style.
Has there been any progress on this issue? If the developers need more logfiles or playtesters, just tell.

It's such a pity that we can only continue to play by not using couriers. It's like playing with the heart taken out of the game. :(

Fix it soon please.

It's on the list to be fixed for the next patch.

It would help if you could send us your log files directly after the crash. Although this can sometimes be a problem due to their large size. If you have FTP or somewhere you can upload the logs, that would be ideal.

We've been doing that. Are you saying you need more log files? From all of the players in the game?

Didn't realize you had already been doing it. Where are you sending the log files? Are you playing via GCM?

Here are all of the logs we've sent in: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/32498646/SoW%20MP%20Logs.zip

We're playing vanilla.
