Mike - Do you still have a FTP slot open?
Kalliser - If Mike still has room for you on his FTP server, please consider taking advantage of it for posting your versions. I HATE megaupload!

Re: Scenario Editor
The latest version seemed to fix the initial problem I was having. Haven't really had a chance to put it through it's paces yet.
I got some feedback yesterday which suggested you strive for the ability to make a scenario from an OOB, and and build a battlescript and maplocations. However, stability, stability, and more stability is the key thing to achieve first.

PS: Did you get the PM I sent you?

Re: Scenario Editor
Hi.
A couple of small things...
One: When importing an OOB, you cannot select all under a commander. It works when you load a clean scenario, and the scenario OOB.
Two: When choosing a new map, the editor does not show the new map in the editor view screen.
Request: When starting the program, it will ask if you wish to start one from scratch, then type in your scenario name, and it makes all the proper directories for the scenario. I wonder if you can get the help of Adukes, RebBugler, Davinci, or the man himself Norb to see if they can help you get a generic scenario which you can call on to create a scenario from scratch.
Request: This is not all of that important but would be for convenience sake, and that is having the editor's window setup be saved so I didn't have to readjust each time I run the program?
I have had a couple of crashes, but I am making sure that it's me, and not the program...I'll let you know.
Oh, why not ask Norb or Adukes if they can host your editor (ftp) so no one has to visit the mega-upload anymore?...Just a thought here.
Cheers...

Why not use NSD Sample 1? It's part of the SDK, documented there and should work just fine as a template.I wonder if you can get the help of Adukes, RebBugler, Davinci, or the man himself Norb to see if they can help you get a generic scenario which you can call on to create a scenario from scratch.

Re: Scenario Editor
I was thinking of that, but it's about creating a scenario from scratch, not working from a OOB that is already made. The base files would be a resource which you can draw from such as opening up a master list of troops, pick, drag, and place sort of thing.Michael Slaunwhite wrote:

The important thing is to get the editor stable first. Then if you want to work on creating scenarios from scratch there is plenty of stuff in place to do that.was thinking of that, but it's about creating a scenario from scratch, not working from a OOB that is already made. Re: Scenario Editor
So far so good Kalliser. The earlier crashes were me mucking about with something. I do know that it won't read OOB's made by Garniers OOB generator. Too bad it was a monster of an OOB
which I could have eventually trimmed down to a workable level.
Cheers.
