Fire breathing horses
Re: Fire breathing horses
i think that time was normal, but i played later as seasoned as well on one of the new brigade scenarios and it happened then too.
Re: Fire breathing horses
I tried, but i just could not replicate it. Must have just been a glitch.
Finally conquered mcphersons ridge, but on normal
I have never got the pettigrew variant..

Re: Fire breathing horses
i just got it to happen again, armistead at the angle (my PC nearly had a heartattack - 9 FPS). It only seems to happen with union artillery...ill try again to find out what mod is causing it, or it could be beause i had alt-tabbed a bit.
Re: Fire breathing horses
I might have tracked down the problem.

I caught a few before they unlimbered, and it seems here that the union batteries have front and back horses (or else the rear horses are missing their cannon). I turned off all my mods, but it still happened. I restarted the game a few times and it still happened, so it wasn't an alt-tab problem. I switched to normal difficulty from veteran , it dissappeared. I switched back to veteran, it reappeared, so it seems to be linked to veteran difficulty level, which ADukes suspected?
Can someone else confirm this? Load armistead at the angle, on veteran difficulty, go to a union battery and see does it have two horses, one front and one back. When it unlimbers, the rear horse will remain, and smoke shall pour from his mouth in mighty rage, repent!

Glad to hear I wasn't imagining it!!
It's a weird one, why would it be difficulty level dependant???

Re: Fire breathing horses
Not sure but we'll get it in the bug tracking system so Norb can take a look. Thanks for the report.Glad to hear I wasn't imagining it!!

Re: Fire breathing horses
I think that this will happen if the artillery unit exceeds (15) men. I can set mine to (20) and get these same type of results. Not sure but we'll get it in the bug tracking system so Norb can take a look. Thanks for the report.Glad to hear I wasn't imagining it!!

Re: Fire breathing horses
Followed the procedure, but I could not recreate this bug...veteran, angle scenario. Everything was normal, no dragons.

Stock scenario? I'll try it again. Might have to wait until tomorrow. Life got in the way of my fun for a few hours. I don't normally have a life but sometimes it comes back to visit. :unsure:Followed the procedure, but I could not recreate this bug...veteran, angle scenario. Everything was normal, no dragons.
