Game Freezes

just wondering if anybody has any ideas

I downloaded the demo. Every time, the game freezes up during the Initializing screen. Then, I get the following 3 errors:

Error Cannot Find Package File:MCPERSON.DAT
Error Cannot Find Package File:DD_RT.DAT
Error Cannot Find Package File:CULP.DAT

I'd appreciate it if anybody could help me

I would try re-downloading. Sounds like a corrupted installer.

I would agree with Little Powell. Have you tried:

- Running the installer as Administrator

- Disabling your antivirus temporarily

- Making sure you have enough room on your Hard Drive

Try that and let us know.

One more:

-don't install to the Program Files folder

I would also agree that you must have a corrupt download, neither one of those files will cause the game not to start.

You would have to press the Enter Key three times, but the game would still start after that.

Basically, all of those files contain the houses, fences, buildings, etc…, I have not loaded any one of those files for over a year, and I play the game everyday!

But, as ADukes mentioned – my game is loaded directly onto the C:Drive – and not through the Program Files…

I did everything you guys said, one more time and it worked! Thank you for your help. I just downloaded the demo and I love it. Will be purchasing the game soon!
