MMG still going, and going, and going

Here you can talk about whatever floats your boat. Your favorite movie, sports team, etc. If it's a little racey, I suggest you post in R&R, otherwise we'll move it for you.

MMG still going, and going, and going

Post by RDBoles »

I keep checking in at MMG TC2M and wouldn't you know. More terrific maps are still being developed, more OOB's as well. 122nd Ohio is making great maps. Some of the fellas are making improvements on some of the old ones as well. Just finished playing on the newer Spottsylvania map, boy is it grand. The sky is very well done and moves. Some of the guys are getting together and coming up with a better way to install the mods even a cmp4 update. I hope all this continued upgrading will spark more creative and better maps in the future. The SOW-Gettysburg Eastern Cavalry Field is very nice, hope more maps continue in the near future.

I was thinking again, sorry. But there was a lot of near misses when the armies came close to each other but no battle ever happened. Places like Culpepper, Orange Court House, tons of villages and fields to be had for the making. Many what if battles. Near Chickamauga a place called Lafayette, a battle could have been fought but the rebs couldn't get it together. Any of the towns and villages in the Shenandoah Valley would be great.
This could go on for ever. I can only hope.

Something we can hope for, eventually. Both map-making and to have the sort of vibrant community that still exists over there (I haven't been over there in ages, but it sounds like the participation is at least as high as it is here now.) No knock to Norb and the boys, just hoping we can bring over more (and more active) people for MP and whatnot.

I hear you, What it takes is constant tweeking and updates and new maps that will spark interest. Just like Garniers MP campaigns, they will continue to be active with constant upgrades and new mods and especially new maps. Have I mentioned that new maps is the way to go for continued interest? Just saying.

Well wouldn't you know, an improvement on the new Spottsylvannia map has already hit the modders corner. A Night game feature for Spottsylvannia, and a rain feature as well. I played the night game and it was great! You can't see into the distance to see if any opposing troops are forming up or about to attack.
The new screens are being shown for the upgraded TC2M CMP-4. They look terrific. I enjoy bopping back and forth between each forum of both communities. Playing MMG's games as well as SOW-Gettysburg games is a treat. One never tires of upgrades and enhancemnts of old maps. Have I ever mentioned that Maps and many of them is the way to go? Anyway this player is quite satisfied with all the new mods and upgrades and patches etc., for both venues. Keep up the great work Norb, and team, you have created a huge monster, that will in the long run, completely devour the gaming world.
