Today marks the 150th anniversary of the creation of the first Confederate flag. I believe this is the 'stars and bars' one and not the battle flag. The battle flag came along in November of 61' I think.
Just thought I'd share this tidbit of trivia.

Also today, 150 years ago, Missouri started to show some major swing toward staying with the Union.
