Game Freeze

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

Didn't see this message in time...it did happen again. JGordon was hosting and we had 5 or 6 players. Went fine for over an hour but as soon as one of the group "checked" the stars for stats (during the game) it froze.

Three other players just had the same thing happen and they have forwarded "log".

Thanks

Was this the same OOB that was causing problems before? Would you guys be willing to try a stock OOB and see if you can create the error again?
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.

I don't understand this issue, but it is great that you have narrowed it down to checking this information. Thank you.

Nope, MTG. Represents different hosts and different OOBs, some stock and some custom. For example, played 3 games with Mr. Baldwin with both custom and stock OOBs and they all froze when we checked the "stars" stats.

Okay, saw the log file. What are the system specs of the players and what are the game options?

Thanks for trying different OOBs, Kerflumoxed & Co. This will at least give us a starting frame of reference for some testing. As Adukes requested, knowing which options the host had picked would also be useful.

We tried the wheatfield scenario (all stock, including settings, I believe) yesterday and lost it 3 or 4 times with only 3 players. We're not sure exactly what the host's capacity is but I've played with him before and had no issues. The first freeze was definitely due to a star click (the instant Mr. Kerflummoxed informed us, ironically enough) but the second two were a mystery. I sent the savegame and logs from two of those freezes, which you've probably already seen.

I have a notoriously slow machine, but it's usually quite reliable. ie, I take a bit longer to load, but once I'm in, I don't cause any problems for anyone.
