Login problems, and something else.

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Hi.

Well, I have been having problems with logging in for the last few days, and the only way to login is from the HOME page itself. It won't work if you select login while viewing the forums itself for some unknown reason, anyway I have finally been able to post.

Anyway, here is my real problem. At the moment I have a great highspeed connection, and I have been trying desperately to get this router setup so I can host, and I just can't get it to work no matter what. I have tried the admin password, and nothing. My brother who owns this doesn't remember what the password is, so what does one do now?

Anyhow, I'm happy that I am now able to login, one problem down, one more to go. I just hope I can get this thing fixed before I go back to dial-up.

Cheers guys!

Usually you can look the router up on the internet. There should be a way to reset it and revert it back to it's default settings. Then the default user and password should work.

During the few times recently when I have been able to access the website, I also have noted some strange happenings once I was there.

I can confirm Mikesla's report of inability to log in from the forum page.

Stranger is that I have logged in from the home page, got the "Hi, Ingles etc etc". Then, when I switch to the forum page, sometimes I have lost "logged in" status and am hailed as a "guest". I can always tell this has happened because the posts come up in default sequence; not my sequence.

But, when I go back to the home page, my name still appears among the "members" on-line.

This does not always happen, probably about one time in four.
