game freezes then unfreezes

Have you defraged your HD? Also, download the latest drivers for video, and sound if at all possible.

I notice this occasionally. It's usually for just a second and then the game resumes. It's more than likely due to a big decision the AI is making at the time, or a big command in the battlescript etc.
