Website still causing problems for some people.

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

Website still causing problems for some people.

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Hi Mike,

Thanks, I do have another similar “cleaner-upper” called Easy-Clean which I run every time after coming off of the internet.

I did though download and run CC-Cleaner (no problems whatsoever with connections and download speed.).

The “norbsoftdev” problem however remains. It just doesn’t want to know me.
Hi guys, I just received an email from Ingles about still not being allowed to access your site. He asked that I send you good people a post about this.

As you can see above (his email), he has tried wiping all cookies, history, and cache, and still not able to get in. Is there something that is being missed, anything you can come up with that may help him get back to this site?

All the help you can give will be greatly appreciated. Any info you post I'll pass along to Ingles of the 54th via email.

Cheers!

Gotta make this quick cause I have to turn my internet protection off to get here.

I have Kaspersky Internet Protection. It reads as follows:

"The following URL could not be retrieved"
http://www.norbsoftdev.com/index.php?op ... t&Itenid=3

The reason says:
A virus detected
"HEUR:Trojan.Script.Iframer"

HELP!!!!!!!!Please
PS- Was having this prob a fewe weeks ago using the link from Favorites on IE
but went to main program files and got on thru the shortcut to forums, but this just started again even doing it that way.......Ocne again...HELP!!!!!

E-mail me at drhet58 at netzero dot net if any reply, as I don't want to leave my protection down. Thanks to any who answer. Oh, I also have this as a trusted site, not protected, if that helps.

Taking a chance again here...
When I click "community" on the web site, another URL is listed as not allowed access.
"http://www.norbsoftdev.com/index.php?op ... t&catid=39"

Once again...trying to give as much info as I can gather...
The "Trojan.Script.Iframer" is described as this:

Objects covered by this classification access Internet resources with out the user's knowledge by using hidden <IFRAME> tags.

Would this be safe just to bypass the warning and let me get on site???

Also, I cleaned and defragged the registry.

Another hack on the website is cleaned up.

I will find the time to update our joomla here, which should prevent the hack from getting through. sorry about that. It's quick to clean up as soon as I know about it.

I did some more searching and it's one of a few things. Compromised passwords on Joomla, only me and Adukes, compromised passwords on the ftp (me and louie raider) or bad scripting in one of the modules we were loading.

So I took a look to see who had access, hmmmmm. Found a bogus super admin account, that must be how they were doing it. So I changed my password and deleted the account. Hopefully that will end it.

If you ever think the site is running weird, you just load up the main page, then view the source. If you find unescape or eval javascript commands, that means that it's been hacked. Email us. So far, from what I can tell, all of these are just spammers. Trying to show popups for ads, or get hits for other sites. Nothing malicious from what I can tell.
