Tcm2 and bull run scns and maps

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

Tcm2 and bull run scns and maps

Post by Cleaburn »

It would be sad if all that work for those two battles was left behind and written of as the past to some of the great modders on this site is there a way to somehow convert them over to the new system........I will help anyone who undertakes this endeavor. If possible? :woohoo:

We would need the maps first. We have lots of map plans, but those specific maps are not currently in the queue.

No, since SOW doesn't support new maps yet.

Is it possible to get a hint as to what "map plans" there are?

We cannot divulge the future maps right now, they need to get more concrete first.

There are many mods and maps for tc2m, I would check the mmg forums for information on this.

Is the ECF map in the mix or did you guys just have your picture taken there during a leisurely stroll?

Personally, I'd like to see a map that is further west along the Cashtown Pike at least to Marsh Creek to allow some "what if" actions trying different strategies to keep the Confederates out of Gettysburg. Also, we've never been able to see what the terrain looked like (at least I don't remember off the top of my head any period photos) from the 1st shot marker looking west since the land on which this early fighting occurred has long been overgrown in many areas with trees. The Warren Map goes as far west as the intersection of Marsh Creek and the Cashtown Pike.

You can get farther with a kind word and a gun than you can with a kind word alone.
