AP Hill Carryover Scenario Series - What If

This is where our experts try to teach you the very flexible modding system for our previous release - SOW Gettysburg and its add-ons. It's powerful, but dangerous. Post your tips and your questions.

No luck. Maybe I have to delete the other mods first? I turned them off, but it still crashes.

Thanks for your help. You must spend 24/7 on the wonderful work you do!

No, you shouldn't have to delete any other mods.. If they are disabled and it still crashes, then that's not the issue..

Did you see my last post about emailing me the NSC file?

I don't know your e-mail. I have the files in winrar for you. Just let me know how to send it to you.

Wow LP, great job on this series. I`ve made it through the first three, but that last one is a tuffy. I`ve been through the last one twice now, but just when it looks as though I may make it, things fall apart, and my men retreat. I just need to change my tactices a bit, and try it again.

This series takes you right to the edge of looking as though you may have them beat, but it takes some pretty careful planning I can see. I hope you can come up with more like this. B)

Glad to see you're enjoying the series... Yes, that last one is a tuffy indeed.

It's a very bold move for Robert E. Lee to make, but with proper planning (and luck.. lol) you can pull it off! :)

Like I mentioned in the first post, the enemy AI really shines on this one.. They are very unpredictable.. A little tip; take the OBJ as quickly as you can. :)

Got your files, thanks.

Ok, it's definitely the carryover file from the second scenario that is causing the crash. Well it doesn't actually crash for me, but it freezes at "PRESS ANY KEY". It's hard to tell what it is.. Did you lose a lot of men? Cause a lot of casualties?

Although Norb has other things on his plate to be looking at mods, I'm going to submit a report with the carryover file for him to take a look. Hopefully he can get to it eventually, as it could be a potential bug in the system that could show up later.

And now for your fix. Well it's more of a workaround. You'll have to replay the 2nd scenario. After you replay, it will create a new carryover file that will overwrite the old one. Odds are it'll work this time (since no one else has experienced this bug yet).

Edit: I'm also able to grab a save game since it crashes for me now a few seconds in.. A save game will really help Norb nail it down. :)

So has anyone beat the series yet? I'd be interested to see your scores casualty info etc. :)

I'm sad I've nearly completed it (I have a cunning plan for scn 4)!

Thanks LP, very nice indeed. http://www.norbsoftdev.com/media/kunena ... tled_1.jpg[/img_size]
