Re:Runtimer Error and SOW - Problems
Norb is working on a way to keep antivirus programs from flagging the game.
Until then like jri said, there's no reason for you to give up and just not play the game.
Like jri said; make sure AVG is completely uninstalled.

That link tells you how to completely uninstall AVG. After it's completely gone, reinstall the game. It has to work.

Thanks jri, I didn't know how to go about removing avg.AVG can be really difficult to remove completely. I had to do it at least three times. Then I learned my lesson, and now use PC Tools free AntiVirus and Firewall. If you type into your seach engine "how to remove AVG" you will find the instructions. It is a line by line removal from your registry. Once clean, reinstall the game before you add any new antivirus programs.
You own the game key, so Norb and team will help you get back on line, I'm sure.

i just wanted to clarify that i'm not blaming the game, but the sites that allow you to download it for not giving you a backup disc when things like this happen.

Are you talking about having to activate the game online?
I'm not quite sure what you are referring too. I just downloaded the game, and burned it to disk. It would be nice to have the game with a box, and printed manual, but I think in doing this, Norb was able to sell an outstanding game for a real great price.
battery b, I do hope you get the game working.

We tried to keep the costs down because a lot of customers are fooled into thinking that spending $10 for a backup disc is a good idea. But they can burn their own copy for a lot less. Never having to involve the store. So that you don't have to pay anymore for the game.
I am very sorry that your game will not work. I truly wish that I knew why.
Did you by chance install the game into the program files folder? There is so little code between the last line that your log shows:
18:59:30 Loading Defined Lists
and the next line
18:59:30 Initializing
The next line comes up a function later and I have no idea why it would crash in there.
After the line:
it loads the courier.csv file
creates or loads the lobby password file
loads the mscreens.csv file
loads the first splash screen
That's it. So I'm thinking that maybe it cannot write to the folder where you installed it.
All the game files are available online. There is nothing extra that you get when you buy the game, just the key which is emailed to you. You can burn the files that you download to disc if you want, or even copy them to a usb stick or just keep them somewhere on a harddrive. The key is what you purchase when you buy.i just wanted to clarify that i'm not blaming the game, but the sites that allow you to download it for not giving you a backup disc when things like this happen.
