Da...Crossing roads seems to be the one major thing missing from the Alpine map. This is especially critical when relying upon a courier system to "issue" orders. Looking forward to your map modifications.

Thanks!

No, it has no effect on play.
This is an excellent map for these types of maneuvers, I’ll probably add in a few inter-locking paths to the Alpine map.
Here is the url for a period map of the area. The region of interest is in the top right corner.

Unfortunately, we cannot use this map in place of the current mini-map. The alpine map uses the current locations of the roads and stream beds, not those that existed in the 1860's. I am adding farm names and other geographical locations to the existing map, so we can utilize the courier system better.
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.

The Alpine map is all I had hoped for and more! Now it seems that some mods may be available. More very good news!

Hey, Guys

I’m just adding some random paths to connect the road-system, which should provide the AI with some different attacking directions.

This map is probably going to be hard to look at, or understand, with the limits on posting pictures. But check the middle of the map for something shaped like a H road path, and the bottom right connecting to the center.

Now, the testing begins to make sure that the paths are not on a steep side of a hill, or such!

This should be a very simple Mod to install once completed, it’s just the map , and renaming, and resizing the rocks to show the paths!

Almost forgot to mention the new Mod System – once we figure this out, this is a very good way of modding the files, and I’m sure that this system can be manipulated just like the csv files can be.

When you get the roads just the way you like them, put up another map and I will add them to the mini-map.
