Is there a way to fine tune your graphics for playing MP?
I was having a discussion where the agreed thought is the host system actually determines the level of graphics used. Is this true? If not, then are the graphics controlled through options 1, and 2, or is there a separate .csv file which controls these graphic options for MP?
later.

Thanks.
Just wondering why a above normal connection has to be used for hosting a game. There are allot of players out there, but most of the time is spent looking for a person who has the speed to host.
I have to say that really narrows down the playing field. You may have 1000 people who would like to play, 20 people who can actually host the game. Doesn't seem to make much sense.
But that is just me. Just something I noticed while in chat.

A lot of those people probably either don't know how to forward their port to host, or they don't realize that you don't need a lightening speed connection to host. Yes it helps to have a fast connection, but it's not required. I have Cable connection, running over wireless and have always been able to host just fine with no issues.Little Powell wrote:Hi Little Powell.mikesla wrote:The only options that will carryover to everyone else's machine are the MP Options. Hi.
Perhaps I misunderstood the conversation.
Thanks for the response.

LP,
Will host machine or connection speed influence how many people can successfully join in a game?
I can host, but 6 seems to be the maximum number of players that I can host before the game gets cranky on me. I have a good internet connection (fiber optic), but my computer is slower than a baby seal nailed to a wall. Just wondering....

The more players you have, the more bandwidth it uses so it will start to slow down once you get over 5 players or so. As far as computer speed, the game will only run as fast as the slowest computer. So if someone in the game is only getting 4 FPS, then everyone will get 4 FPS.LP,
