Video Card - High Whinning Sounds

My video card does not like the main menu screen or the Multiplayer screen. It makes a very high pitched sound whenever these screens are up. Driving me crazy! It makes the noise when using laptop screen and when using a separate monitor. The noise is coming from the laptop.

I have a:
Dell Precision M4400 Laptop
Intel Core 2 Duo CPU
T9550 @ 2.66 GHz
1.57 GHz, 3.48 GB of RAM

Running: Windows XP Professional Version 2002 Service Pack 3

Video:
NVidia Quadro FX 770M
DirectX version 9.0c

I played with the resolution a little bit, did not make it stop. Is there a preferred setup?

Try enabling VSynch for the game in the NVidia control panel. Many NVidia cards have the problem and there is nothing else you can do.

Look at that, IT WORKED. Cool. Thank you very much. Main screen wasn't bad, not there too long. But the Multiplayer screen, it was really hurting my ears to chat for a long time before games.
