This kind of thing will happen in any online game as long as playing online entails a degree of anonymity. I would like to say it usually is a sign of immaturity, and young age, but frankly in my experience it's more a sign of human nature. It's just easier to be rude and vulgar when you're talking to strangers from the safety of an anonymous online persona. The main thing these people are looking for is a reaction. The best thing to overcome it is to ignore it. Think of it as a child throwing a tantrum.
