Mods don't work!!!!

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

And you followed this procedure?

Unzip folder then...

Copy/Paste the folder "Bugles and Flags v01" into the SOWGB 'Mods' folder.

Open game, go to 'Modifications', select Bugles and Flags V01
(yellow box to the left of title should appear).

Go to the bottom of the page and select 'Use Selected Mods'

Scenarios will appear in the 'User Scenarios' section.

For Sandbox, use OOB's ending in DRF.

And, Version 02 is now available... :)

It doesn't make sense, it has to work. I know it's a stupid question, but are you sure you have the full game? Can you play the historical scenarios?

Hey, can you expand your directory and post a picture of it on the forum?

To take a screenshot of the directory - press the PrtScr button, and use the Paint program to cut out the required picture.

Basically, does your file structure resemble this?

My Bad! - I should have been a little bit more clearer!

After you press the PrtScn - Open the MsPaint
and press the CTRL+V - the paste command.

But, you should be able to look at the layout of the directories
and determine if you hae the same type of structure.

I had problems getting the mods to work at first, until I placed
everything into the Small-Mod-Sample file.

So, the file structure has to be precise - which I think
is the problem that you are having.

Well, I’m not the expert here, so I would strongly recommend that you first Install the Small-Mod-Sample – that is in the Modding Section .

But, basically it works something like this…..

Go to the Desktop and Right-Click select New and move the mouse to select Folder

Now, do this at least five times – until you have five un-named folders on the desktop.

Right-Click one of them and select rename – name it Mods

Right-Click another one – rename – Scenarios

Right-Click another one – rename – Logistics

Right-Click another one – rename – Maps

Right-Click another one – rename – OOBs

Now – Place the following three folders into the Scenarios Folder
(1) Logistics (2) Maps (3) OOBs

So – you should now have two folders – on the desktop!

Now – place the Scenarios Folder – into the Mods Folder !

You should now only have one folder called Mods on the desktop!

Place this folder – drag and drop – what-ever \ how-ever \ everybody does it different – into your Scourge of War – Gettysburg directory.

Not in the NorbSoftDev folder – basically make it look like the example above, once the directory is expanded.

Information – that you probably already know!

The csv – files from the SDK goes into the Logistics folder.

The csv map files – goes into the Map folder.

The OOB – that you or somebody else has made goes into this OOBs folder.

Basically – only add files that you have changed into these folders, this will help to keep you on track as to what you have altered. Any files that are in these folders will over-ride the default game files. Once Activated !
