Variant or OOB bug?

I'm not sure whether this is a bug, working as designed or just that I'm continually getting an OOB variant (if such things exist) in the "We Want Those Guns Scenario".

According to his own report of the battle, Kershaw led his brigade into the wheatfield -yet in every game I've played (over half a dozen now) Kershaw's brigade has been led (unless I'm lucky and he gets himself killed) by a Lt. Col. Christian Graybill who's abilities range from average ability and command, via poor control and mediocre leadership to a "frozen" style.

He's got himself killed a couple of times, when the courier message informs me that "Gen. Kershaw" has been lost/killed - not Graybill.

Anyway - does Kershaw ever get to lead his brigade, is this a bug or is it working as designed?

He got killed and so a replacement officer led his brigade.

Sorry, I don't follow. Perhaps I'm having a stupid day. Do you mean Kershaw was "killed" in the game before the scenario starts?

Otherwise, perhaps I'm not being clear. The scenario always starts with Kershaw's brigade being led by Graybill - not Kershaw. Kershaw is never in the OOB. But when Graybill meets his well merited incompetent fate the game informs me that Kershaw has just died.

Kershaw was killed in the game after the scenario started or in the GB07 carryover scenario.

Ah. That explains it - hadn't noticed he'd managed to get killed. Sorry.
