Game stopping shortly after it starts.

Game won't run. Keeps crashing. Hopefully we won't get any posts here, but if we do, we'll try to help you out. You can also post any bugs that you find here. IMPORTANT: Don't post mod related problems here!

Game stopping shortly after it starts.

Post by Garnier »

The game starts, runs fine for 0-2 minutes, then pauses and doesn't start again. I found an error in the log which occurs right when the game stops.

This is what it says in the log:

07:00:19 <ToBe123> in
07:00:31 <General Bragg> in and moving
07:00:40 PR: (ERROR) File: ..\..\Rendering\PR_Surface.cpp
Line: 168
Error: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL

07:00:40 PR: (ERROR) File: ..\..\Rendering\PR_Surface.cpp
Line: 168
Error: D3DERR_INVALIDCALL

07:00:40 <Garnier> or not
07:00:40 <Garnier> hehe
07:00:40 <General Bragg> lol

What scenario are you running? Any other info?

Various sandbox OOBs.

The map was Devil's Den but I have had this error on other maps in the past as well. This isn't a new problem with this patch, we've had it occasionally for as long as I can remember. Next time I record it I'll get the exact scenario info and settings though.

We've never encountered that one during testing. Maybe someone joining the game has a corrupt install. Those random crashes are the hardest to track down...
