Sound Issues...
Re:Sound Issues...
It sounds like it's running out of resources, like there is a leak somewhere. That is what these symptoms tell me. I think that I'm going to have to end up writing this myself like I did in tc2m rather than depend on the graphics engine to handle sound.

I can confirm this. When not playing these files, the rifle fire can be heard. After a while it again becomes quiet. I think you are right Norb, there is a memory leak somewhere. My ingame sounds Improved when I deleted the 3 music files
I can make this march and I will make Georgia howl.
Re:Sound Issues...
If it's just the mp3 files, they should have been unloaded and removed when the game started. This gives me a good hint of where to look. Thanks!

Re:Sound Issues...
Hi.
I deleted my sound files as you folks have suggested, and I'm hearing sounds I haven't heard before, and the sounds are consistent, no more sounds going in, and out. The sounds I'm hearing now that I haven't heard before is the flags fluttering in the wind sound, the small movement sounds made by the artillery.
The battlefield sounds more alive now than before.
Nice.

Re:Sound Issues...
I've just removed the music files as suggested and confirm the improvement.
It must have been a memory heist issue as I am sure that the display is also much more vibrant and the movement a good deal slicker.
Feels a bit flat without the fine introduction music but that is a small price to pay.

Re:Sound Issues...
I took a look at this tonight and I didn't see any leaks, that's good
But I did see that it was completely shutting down a lot of stuff when the mp3 was stopped when you go into the game. This would not happen if you didn't have the files, so hopefully we're on to something here. Thanks!

Hi Norb, just to give you a heads up, I removed those 3 mp3 files didnt make any difference, Musket sounds still on the quiet side, not sure what could be causing it.
The fluttering of the flags are fine, so is the artillery, and marching, and the crackle from burning buildings, damn you can even hear the Bells toll in town
