Career Mode in Sandbox???

Would there ever be an option for a career mode?

For instance, I would create a new character (Full Name or Nickname), then be given an the option at what level of command you wish (the higher the rank, the higher the difficulty). As you play in sandbox mode, you would gradually be promoted, or demoted.

If you are promoted or demoted, your difficulty would be adjusted to reflect your new rank, and carry over to your next sandbox game, so every sandbox game you play, you are actually having a full career without having to build a new campaign, let the sandbox mode do this for you.
