Placing Tc'd troops back under ai control.

Post by Michael Slaunwhite »

Hello.

Is there a global key that will allow me to place all tc'd troops back under ai control without having to do it manually?

I sometimes forget that I have some troops tc'd, and I give a move order (commander), which then I see that not all of my troops are responding, so I have to go to each of the tc'd troops, and place them back under ai control, then re-issue the move order, which I have found to be a real pain.

Just wondering if there is a global key, or is there going to be one in a later update?

Guessed I missed something somewhere. The 2 key, tcalloff, will cancel TC for all units, not just those under your command. That's why I modded my toolbar and replaced tcallon and tcalloff in the keyboard file with the commands:

Atcommon
Atcommoff

These only TC on and off the given commanders units. Sure hate to contradict ADukes, for he knows far more about these files than I'll ever know. I'm sure I'll be set straight if in error here. Maybe I have the wrong keyboard file.

I really don't see the need for tcalloff/on. With Atcommon/off, all you have to do is select 'me' and you get the same result as tcalloff/on. With tcalloff/on you're stuck with a global command only.
