This is a minor problem:
I played some corps-sandbox hunting them down game. I was marching my divisions on a road. The first enemy units (CS) I encountered on that same road was an artillery battery, perhaps because they have a slightly faster speed than inf, which somehow spoiled the historical feeling
Can you perhaps make order the arti on the last position inside a marching column, or is that an issue of the OOB, so that it's would be no problem of coding?
How is the marching order calculated - I see units regrouping before going onto the road? :
Sandbox prob: Artillery marching in front of infantry
Re:Sandbox prob: Artillery marching in front of infantry
Not only do I see AI controlled artillery leading columns on roads, but the entire battery typically rushes forward and deploys. It does this nearly every time in sandbox mode when road marching.
Since I only play in the sandbox, I see a lot of this. Good handicap for the human player but not too good for play!
When I choose to take advantage of it, I will normally destroy the battery and get a couple of guns out of the exchange. But I would much prefer to see the guns to the rear or only a single gun leading the column.
