Waypoints

Post by andy1811 »

Hey everyone!

I like to play Sandbox games at brigade level, but I'm experiencing a strange problem. Whenever I get orders from the AI to attack/move to an indicated position, the only waypoint indicator I receive follows the destination I place to tell my officer where to go. If I move to a road, the waypoint appears on the road. If I move to a field, it follows my destination marker there. The Strategic Orders icon on the map also follows this.

I was just wondering if anybody else was experiencing this, or if it's just me.

Thanks,

Andy

That is not a waypoint, that is an 'orders destination' marker. Objectives are characterized by an eagle on top. Objectives are stationary with a white window that displays your flag when activated by your capture. I think that's what you're asking.

Thanks, but that's not what I'm looking for. I'm not familiar with the terms used for everything, I suppose. According to the manual, what I am getting above my destination flag is a "waypoint objective marker". If I move my destination flag, the waypoint objective marker moves along with it, as well as the strategic orders icon (green/yellow star) on the map. The waypoint objective marker appears upon receiving orders to attack/move to an "indicated position". It then continues to follow my destination flag.

I have never encountered this issue, but might not have been paying close enough attention. I will try to re-create it later this evening, or another tester that has access to the game can try.

I'd appreciate it. I hadn't seen it mentioned anywhere, so I wasn't sure if it was just me or not. Hopefully we can figure out what's going on! :S

Hey guys,

Can I assume nobody has been able to recreate this?

Thanks,
Andy

I still haven't been able to re-create this. The objective marker never moves for me... Do you think you can grab a save of it and send it to sowsupport at scourgeofwar dot com with a detailed description of the issue?

... I have been able to replicate the "jumping flag" issue. I experianced it in a sandbox game a few moments ago and recalled reading this post. Where should I send the saved game?

ORourke,

sowsupport at scourgeofwar dot com

Replace the at/dot with the proper symbols.

Little Powell said to also include a description of the problem.
